Do you own a house or another large asset and want to control who receives these when you die?

Do you have the right documents to assign medical decision-making to others if needed?

Have you heard about changing federal and state tax and estate laws, but don't know if they'll affect you?

These are the sorts of questions that estate planning can answer. Estate planning has more to do with what your personal situation is and what your wishes are than how much money you make.

Join this lively and interactive workshop with estate planning expert, attorney Michael Levelle. Find out all you need to know to re-evaluate your current plan or to get started. Michael has worked with individuals and couples from all different walks of life to create plans that make sense for them.

Michael describes his role as not just sharing factual information, but also listening to people. "I value giving people a chance to explore their options and set their goals based on their own values. I don't judge people or the goal they set for themselves. My job is just to help them reach that goal."

We'll cover the following topics:

  • Wills and trusts
  • Powers of attorney
  • Estate planning for non-traditional couples
  • Charitable bequests
  • Planning for health care needs
  • Recent changes in the federal and state estate tax laws

In addition to the presentation, there will be time for questions and answers.
