About MRG Foundation

MRG Foundation is Oregon’s leading funder of social, racial, economic, and environmental justice groups. We award nearly half a million dollars every year in grants for community-based organizing and we raise the money we give out primarily from individual donors, with some support from businesses and foundations.

MRG makes grant decisions through a unique, activist-led process and we prioritize funding to organizations led by those who are most impacted by injustices, including people of color, people living with disabilities, women, LGBTQ, and low-income people.

MRG has spent the last two years strengthening a culture of fundraising throughout the organization: our Executive Director is enthusiastically engaged in development strategy and major donor cultivation; our Communications Director and Development Manager lead direct mail, grant writing, events, and workplace giving; and our part-time Office Manager manages donor data through CiviCRM. MRG’s annual budget is $1.3m with an asset base of $6m and we’ve raised $1.4m from individuals over the last three years. We’re excited to bring on a Major Gifts Officer who will help us reach our goal of raising $900,000/year by 2016-17.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Communications Director, and Development Manager to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive annual and long-term strategic development plans.
