Eligibility Assessment Questions

We know your time is valuable and want to make sure you can allocate your fundraising time efficiently. Your responses to the following form will help ensure that applying to MRG Foundation is appropriate for your organization.

1. Is the applicant an organization (we do not fund scholarships or projects by individuals)? Yes or No
2. Is your group based in Oregon (i.e., must have an Oregon address on the application form - MRG Foundation does not fund non-Oregon based groups, even if their project is being done in Oregon)? Yes or No
3. Is your organization's overall annual budget less than $500,000? Yes or No
   
   

   If you answered No to any of the above questions, you are not for MRG Foundation funding.

4. Does your group bring together those who are most effected to challenge the root causes of your environmental, economic or social injustice issue? Yes or No
5. Does your group or project create long-term policy, institutional or social/community change? Yes or No
6. Is your organization or the project you are asking MRG Foundation to support unlikely to receive funding from mainstream sources such as government agencies, the United Way, mainstream foundations or other traditional funding sources? Yes or No
   
   

   If you answered No to one or more of the questions, you should explore other funding options.

If you answered Yes to ALL of the above questions, please contact the Program Director (503-234-2338 in Portland or 1-800-489-6743). Groups that have not been funded by MRG Foundation previously need to talk to the MRG staff before an application is sent.
