MRG's new donor relations director, Carol Tatch

We are so excited to welcome Carol Tatch as MRG Foundation’s new Donor Relations Director!

Carol comes to us most recently from Mercy Corps, where she served as a Major Gifts Officer. Since moving to Oregon seven years ago, Carol has served in fundraising roles with increasing responsibility, including at the Hoyt Arboretum Friends Foundation and Marylhurst University. Prior to moving to Portland, Carol spent 16 years at the Organization for Tropical Studies in Durham, NC rising to the position of Annual Fund and Corporate Communications Director.

“The mission and vision of MRG are a perfect fit with my passion for social and racial equity in Oregon,” Carol says. “And I’m looking forward to working with MRG’s dynamic base of supporters to make this a tremendous time of growth!”

In her new role at MRG, Carol will provide the strategic vision and leadership for MRG’s major donor program, secure sponsorships, and cultivate individual gifts that have transformative impact on MRG and the communities with which we work.

Carol’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for MRG as we strengthen, deepen, and widen fundraising to build a stronger base of supporters and move ever more resources into Oregon’s social justice movements,” says MRG Executive Director Sharon Gary-Smith. “We are so thrilled to have someone of Carol’s skill and experience leading MRG’s major donor work!”
